Newbie Componant 1, 2, 3 Question

HI, I am a newbie when it comes to auto dosing even though I have been in the hobby for a while. I have some simple questions. I am about to start dosing componant 1, 2, 3 and I am setting up my auto doser. Do I want to dose the 3 parts at diffrent times during the day? Also, do I dose the parts at the same time or different times (does at the sma time cause precipitation)? If diffrent times, how much time between each one? And lastly, is there a time of day that you recommend dosing the components? (FYI, I have a Red Sea Reefer 350 with mostly SPS) Thanks again for the help!

We recommend to split the maximum doses as it's possible - even 24.
Space between dosages should be minimum 5 minutes apart.

Thanks for the fast response. If my daily dose is 60ml. Is it ok to divide that into 2 at 6 hour intervals or should I do all 60 at a time or should I split it up into more than 2 doses? Thanks

Hi,
I use 1-2-3 and am dosing equal parts of 130ml per day. I dose 65ml each 1/2 hour apart in the morning and evening. My Ca is 460, Alk is 9.4 and Mag is 1375.

I would do 6 doses of 10 ml of each.

I dose the Component+ 3 part via Neptune DOS heads equally 24x7. Initially I separated the different components at different times of the days (as one of the posts I found suggested) but later on I just changed it back to dose all 3 parts continuously over the 24 hours. I feel my tank improved after that change. Stability is key in this hobby and dosing everything 24x7 seems to keep things stable.

Here is my schedule which keeps very consistent levels. Obviously you need to determine your consumption rate but this schedule is great.

Alkalinity - 36ml dosed 4 x daily (8 small doses of 4.5ml) spread out over 80 minutes with 40 minute break between CA
