Ok so do i wash my new media filter first before using it ? i did wash my biological filter (bioring) Yes i know its not the best, ill change it later after im used to this. This is for my Red Arowana, its my familys Business we own a farm outside of the city and would visit the place once a month to harvest with our employee So this is my first start into get into this Business.

not 100% on your question. you should rinse everything under water (prefer rodi, but tap would work if thats all you have). you're not washing it, but getting all the fine dust and stuff off. no soap, no chemicals.
