hey all! I’m a total beginner and excited to get into the hobby. I’m going to list everything I bought so far, any advice is well appreciated.

Waterbox 20(still waiting they are back ordered)
Cobalt neo therm 100w heater
1k gyre for flow- is this to strong for a 20g?
Aquasmart micro ato
Intank first chamber instead of the sock
20pnd of live rock and sand
Going to buy the water from my lfs to save time.

That’s about it so far, how does it look?

Based off the build threads I have read for 20 gallons, it seems the general consensus is that the 1K gyre is too powerful and will push small particle sand around quite a bit.
If you're looking for high end pumps, most people (myself included) love the vortech MP10, but that might not work as well in a cube.

I would also consider upgrading the return pump.

Ok awesome! Thanks any recommendations for the return pump? I think I read the tunze silent was a good one?
