Hi all. So i have learnt the hard way by not having a qt tank and lost all my fish. Tried polyplab medic didn't work.

So now I'm in fallow period and want to put some sponges in the dt to seed the qt tank but it's only been a week from the last fish death.

What are your thoughts on adding the media to the dt for seeding the qt tank in fallow period?

Welcome Bunglesreef ! I don't see why You can't add things to the display while going fallow. There are others better informed I'm sure they will be along . You stopped at the right place for info like this .

You should be able to add them with no problem. As long as you follow the fallow period.

You can add all the media you want. If you plan to treat in QT prophylactically then it doesn't matter if you pull media from the infected display during fallow.

If you are using QT for observation and treat as needed then you would want to wait until fallow period is finished before moving the media to QT from DT.
