Hello guys. I have a 20g Long that's been set up for about 3months now. I'm starting to get some algae. I am dosing Nopox by Red Sea. Due to covid, there's no CUC anywhere I can find and prices for everything are sky high. Is there anything I can do to stop it from getting worse or help getting rid of it?

Stocking:
1 Clown
1 cleaner shrimp
5 blue leg hermits
1 red leg hermit
And a few corals (lps & zoas)

Parameters:
Salinity: 1.026
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: super high (red Sea test tested at max. That's why I'm dosing Nopox)
Phosphate: 0.026
All: 8 dkh
Ph: 8.2
Temp: 78°

Viparspectra 165w light
On at 5 pm off at 1 am
Blues at 24% whites at 1%

keep dosing nopox
50% water change
maintain nitrate at max 10 ppm
show us some pics of algae

I did a 10g water change on Saturday. I feed 1-2 flakes a day and make sure the fish and shrimp finish. Remove any uneaten food, I skip feeding on water change day. 0 TDS out of my RODI unit.

This is what it looks like right now. Not crazy but I wanna catch it before it gets out of hand

then you are ok this is green algae, it's fine. you need a tang fish. get yellow tang and it will eat all green algae. this is normal for new tanks.

It's a 20g so I cant get a tang unfortunately. It's a temporary tank while I finish plumbing and setting up my 40B. I will be turning it into the sump for that tank. I have a skimmer but it's not a HOB so I can't use it on the 20 or else I would. Will the green algae go away? Or does it stay? Should I keep up dosing Nopox?

then keep dosing nopox. you can increase dose gradually. craps you have will help too.
