Thanks for the warm welcome! Yes this stand is coming with it's own wood stand and canopy. I haven't seen many people use a canopy, is that because of the evaporation and residual salt?

I'm doing my best to be patient as I know that's the way to go, but it will be hard! I couldn't sleep as all last night I was thinking about the build and how I want to construct my plumbing and all of the different fish and corals I'd want so can't wait to get my books on the different species!

Don't be afraid to ask questions. It's always better to ask them "before" you do something your unsure of and the only stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked.

I use my canopy, it cuts down on the light bleed so I can still enjoy my movie room.

I just got back empty handed There was a big sticker saying, Tempered Glass do NOT drill!! During my miserable drive home I realized my brother in laws best friend owns a glass shop. Im thinking of asking him to build me a tank, but I have some questions to see if it could actually work. Ill post a different thread on that question.

Bummer ! I really liked the dimensions . I found my tank thru the LFS. When I researched ordering from the factory, the shipping off set the extra cost from the lfs they deliver to the shop. Saves time & hassle . Possible You talked with the guy about finding another (same dimensions) with out safety glass? I'm surprised the sides were ,it's usually just the bottom pane.
