Hey there !
My clownfish has about 3 or 4 small round weird pinkish inflated growth near its fin. She eats like usual and swims as usual. I usually watch and check my fish carefully every day buy ive been busy with studies so i only fed and did top off this past days and didnt check for diseases...so i cant say if its like since yesterday or since about 2 or 3 days . I like her very much so please give any advice about this disease and as to whether or not i should medicate. Thanks in advance !

Hi Lily, your Clown should be fine, however, you are going to have to do a few things to ensure she is. First, the reason for those outgrowths is poor water quality. What you need to do is dose carbon and phosphate removers. Perform a large water change, and then do another one the next day. You are also going to want to break down your skimmer, clean it good, then reinstall it.
Also, get rid of all that smudge and algae growth on your rock, equipment and glass. If no improvement, do another water change, plus feed a varied diet including vitamin C and Garlic.
Good luck but this should work...

Can you upload some additional pictures that are more clear by chance?

It looks like it could be lympho and as mentioned above, if it is, pristine water and adding vitamin supplements to food like selcon, vitachem etc. Will normally clear it up. Lympho is a virus.

My worry is when you say pinkish spots I would be concerned about it being a bacterial infection. I just can't see enough in the pics to determine one or the other.

That’s awesome! Hey Lily, quick question...are your Clowns a true pair? If so the larger of the two will be the female. If they are not a pair more likely than not you have two male clowns.
All Clownfish start life as males. Then the dominant one becomes the female...when that female dies, the next male in the hierarchy will become the next female in line.

I bought them from a lady who had them together for over 6 months and the sick one is about very much larger than the other clown . She swims by the other clown and kisses and hangs out by him all the time.

How does this looks as a treatment? Ill do another water change and scrub all visible algae later today.
