I am completely new to setting up and maintaining a saltwater tank and am looking to do about a 20 gallon Clownfish tank for my first go as I’ve heard they’re a good starter fish and I love their coloring. I’m looking for any helpful advice, tips or tricks that y’all can offer! I’m newly familiar with the nitrogen cycle and how a tank has to cycle before adding fish to it but that’s about as far as I’ve gotten. Looking for recommendations on a pump system, tank, stand, etc. A step by step guide on how to do all this would be nice but I’ll take what I can get. Thanks in advance!

You can look around for a used setup (just make sure the tank isn't scratched up or doesn't leak) or if you prefer to start new, keep an eye out for the Petco dollar per gallon sale (usually pop up every 2-3 months) and pick up a 20 gallon long tank. The 20 gallon long will give you the best dimensions for a tank of that size (in terms of usable space for your fish). I would go with this guide as it will cover the costs and equipment to set one up (provided you have a reliable LFS you can purchase RODI/Salt premix water):
