I am getting back into the hobby. I have an old 100gal acrylic tank I am going to drill for a sump. I only have room to plum it Durso style. So my question is what size drain and return would you recommend?

no, its an old all in one with a back compartment. So I am going down through the bottom only enough room in the compartment for 2 pipes. it will fit 1.5 inch but I am wondering if i can get by with 1 inch.

Herbie with 2x1" drains, return over the back.

Should be fine. I would guess a 1" full siphon will move well over 1000 gph.
