Newbie question. Cloudy water

Hi all! Set up a small 40 gal tank a week ago just to go through a cycle. Added a bottle of Tim’s bacteria. Water got milky cloudy 3 days later. Still cloudy today. Assuming it’s bacterial overgrowth. How long does that last? Will it clear up on its own? Thanks

Yes it clears up on its own, its the natural cycle, mine lasted about a week. Also you notice if you dose carbon in future, water also goes cloudy until it stabilizes. Some people report cloudy water when high phosphates but i've never experienced that

Thanks! Feel a little better. Going to wait it out. People were telling me to add UV. I think it’s too early
