Hey everyone!

So I have just recently set up my first saltwater tank! 55 gallon, it has finished its cycle and this weekend I am planning on getting my first fish. 2 clowns, so here’s my question, being it’s a new tank, will I be okay to get a bubble tip anemone along with my clowns I’m picking up this weekend, or does the tank need to mature more for any reasons?

You don't want to add an anemone to a new tank, there is a high chance that it won't make it. Generally you want to wait until a tank has matured, which is anywhere (in my opinion) 8 months to a year.

Thanks for the quick responses! Will adding the clowns so early prior to an anemone hinder the chance of them hosting?
It shouldn't. It all depends on the individual clownfish. There are some reefers that have multiple anemones and the clowns choose to host the mag float glass cleaner lol. They're goofy little guys :)
