hi everyone,
from my freshwater days i always had a quarantine tank.
Now was going to start my first saltwater tank but was thinking of also setting up a quarantine tank at the same time
have a 14 G freshwater tank lying around that i can use for that .
I have a hang on back filter
would leave bare bottomed

Was going to place a koralia nano power head in there. and a heater obviously
for lighting I was thinking of the hipagera aquaknight but its not in stock on amazon or any other online retailer now so which light would you suggest that I could quarantine corals in this tank too
Anything else I should put in this quarantine tank ?

Also should I set up another 10G as a coral quarantine ?
If I do Should I place just a few lbs of live rock ( was going to get a few extra lbs for the main tank to have options in aquascaping and would put the leftovers in her ) in there ?

If you plan to quarantine fish and corals at the same time I would have separate tanks. You may need to medicate the fish and you don't want corals in there at that time.

For the fish tank I would go bare bottom with some PVC pipe, heater, HOB filter, small light.

For the coral tank I would go bare bottom with a coral rack, heater, HOB filter, better but not great light. The corals do not need a great light in QT as you are not trying to grow them. Corals can do okay for short times in lower light
