Newbie reefer... experienced FW aquarist

Hey gang, my name is robert and im new to this reef tank hobby anf dove in head first. Currently using a 30 gallon tank with a Fluval Aquaclear 110 with a Intank media basket and Tunze 9001 Skimmer. Also running 2 koralia nano 425 powerheads. 35lbs live rock and 30lbs live fiji pink sand. Running my cycle now using the ghost feed method. Any and all comments welcomed. Thank you

Nice! Since you have a skimmer, you may be able to get rid of the canister filter at some point. Good luck!

I'm new also...I did the same set-up with the 110 aquaclear but without the skimmer in the basket. Could I see how you did that? Welcome to the reef world! One thing I learned in this hobby is patiently wait for the tank to cycle, I waited four months until I finally added live stock to it... Go out and get a QT tank save you headaches later down the road!

1 week into cycle. Still reading 0 on nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia. Is this normal?
