Newbie, setting up new tank in SoCal

My name is John. I had this tank a few years ago, unsuccessfully. Been sitting about 5 years. Time to resurrect and do it right. Yesterday I picked up an AI Prime and an Aquamaxx HOB1 of craigslist. Want to set up a nice little reef tank. Please say hi and offer up any constructive advice.

First off it's been sitting so get to cleaning clean everything.another piece of equipment you may need is ro/di unit. It will make life much easier for you.I have seen some awesome smaller tank setups good luck in your build and have fun along the way. And we're here for any questions you may have.

I just noticed you were in Long Beach... SCRK is a local club with lots of knowledgeable reefers if your ever interested in coming. Normally we meet at Age of Aquariums in Signal Hill but this month we are meeting at Two Guys Corals in Anaheim on Saturday, February 20th at 6pm.

They have an awesome facility and tons of Reef Raft eye candy. Also there will be a presentation on the ME Corals supplement line.

They aren't normally open to the public... they are just hosting us for a monthly meeting. They are the main supplier for Reef Raft Asia and Canada corals.
