Hello everyone I am extremely new to the hobby having a 46 gallon tank not even a week yet lol. I was able to purchase a tank that has been established about one year and it's inhabitants, 1 nassarius snail and one yellow tang I inherited. What would be the best way to re-home the tang? Also I have purchased a pack of 20 various hermit crabs and 5 peppermint shrimps (online) is that a good idea?. Is that to much for that size of a tank? I would really like to have something as vibrant as I can and as peaceful as possible from the inverts on up to the fish. Any ideas or stocking suggestion would be awesome!!!!
Thanks!

Post on a local subforum or take it to a LFS for rehoming the tang.

Go slow when adding. Slower is better.

Peaceful options include firefish, royal gramma, sunburst anthias, a small group of zebra or scissortail dartfish, yellow assessor, neon goby, aurora goby w/ pistol shrimp.

I would add the Royal Gramma last though if you get one because they can be a bit aggressive in certain situations. I added two fish larger than my Gramma after it was added and it went around with an attitude for about 3 months showing it's non-existent fangs to everything in the tank. It finally settled down but I thought I was going to get done in by my Maroon Clown, the real boss of the tank. :)
