Hello everyone, I am Jhameeh and I'm new to this hobby. I've been lurking here for the past months and I really like this site because you can find here vast of information about this hobby, new articles for aqua technology and lots of very beautiful tanks.

I prepared a drawing in AutoCAD and I need some advice if my plan is good enough or need some revision before I send this to fabricator. Planning to have a mixed reef of 100 gallon system (48"x24"x20"). I know I can find valuable response in here that's why this is the first place I posted my drawing. I really appreciate any response from everybody.

Happy keep reefing!

Welcome to R2R. Looks good to me if I'm reading things correctly. I love the rendering - pretty neat design on the cabinetry.

Only suggestion is to use 45 degree fittings instead of the 90's on the return, if possible. Not a huge issue but the 45's are a little easier on the head pressure. If your pump is strong enough, it's really not an issue at all. Also, I would suggest a gate valve on you drain in lieu of a ball valve (you may have that I just can't read the diagram).

Thanks dbl!
Gate valve will be used for the drain. The return pump to be use is Reef Octopus VarioS-2 Controllable DC Pump.

I attached a bigger snapshot for better readability.

Great design. Love all the unions! I also like the fact that you're using support for your pipes. that's something that get overlooked a lot, unfortunately.

Thanks cromag!
Yup, pipe support will help in stability of the pipes. Do you think the area for electrical is enough, around 13"?

Depends on what you're going to have. but if you can use the total stand height, it should be enough. Are you going to use an apex? how many energy bars? pump controllers? etc.

Thanks cromag!

Planning to use Apex Classic with EB6 (shuko) and maybe other modules down the line. I have to check all the dimensions of the modules to be used. Thanks!

A lot more planning than my past tanks. Props for sure.

Thanks Axo!
I'm doing a lot of reading/research now before I plunge into this hobby. Doing the planning and reading can help me minimize the mistakes that might happen. I hope that I am in the right path. Patience is a virtue!

Cheers!
