What’s up guys . Tank has just finished cycling( or so I think) Below are my parameters

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 7/10
P04 - .2
Alkalinity - 8.7

Regarding the p04 and the nitrate levels. Are these ideal or ok?

Hey welcome to the hobby! The main thing to sometimes hone in on during a cycle is ammonia, with that sitting at 0 you're getting close to what you need! I would recommend taking your time with stocking dont rush and overwhelm the tank.

Here's a thread that might be helpful for you, I started a YouTube channel and I am documenting my process of running my reef tank. Hope this can help!

Your levels are absolutely fine. Make sure the tank is indeed cycled.

Hey anytime! I appreciate you taking a look at it! Hoping I can do my best to help out as many people as possible! All while also learning as I go! Always things to learn in this hobby.

Welcome to R2R! Your parameters look pretty solid. As others have said, take stocking slow and keep an eye on things!

Welcome to R2R. what can you tell about: what experience you have had with aquariums? What size is it? how long the tank has been running? what is in it? how you cycled it? what you hope to add to it?
nosy ain't I?
Happy to have you here!

The phosphate level at 0.2 is high and a good target is low at around 0.03ppm or less if you want to avoid many of the unwanted issues you read about.

Look into phosphate removal methods as if you cant keep it under control, you’ll need something to remove it.

Your other levels look ok, but if your going to add corals, check your calcium and magnesium levels.

And Welcome to R2R!!!

It’s my first tank. Red Sea max nano. Been cycling for quite a while with seachem stability as recommended by a few fellow reefers. It was meant as a decor piece in the living room but just realised that the the hobby runs far deeper than that. Added 3 corals and 2 clowns this weekend. Corals seem to be doing just fine . However my 2 Clownfish seem to be acting kinda strange. Swimming up and down the same place most of the time / hiding behind a rock. The smaller male is the only one that’s eaten so far. The female hasn’t even attempted a bite . Thanks for the shout !

Thanks dude. Not sure if 3 Softy corals and 2 fish would be classified as taking stocking slowly the weekend after the tank has cycled.

no problem my friend!

as far as the stocking goes, that’s probably on the verge of “pushing it”. But just monitor things and wait a few weeks before adding anything else. So long as you don’t see any spikes in ammonia or Notice your livestock acting odd, you should be fine.

just remember: the most expensive thing in this hobby is being impatient and rushing stuff

Thanks for the input mate. My calcium and Mag are at 500 and 1200 respectively . I know the calcium is kinda high but not concerning as I’ve heard . Please do correct me if I’m wrong
