Hi everyone,
My name is Erik and i have always dreamed of having one. I started with a Fluval EVO 13.5 tank AIO. I know it is kind of small and it will require some work to keep it stable. But it was such a deal at Petco online.
At first I used the foam block that came with it and I think it caused a algee bloom.
I then upgraded to a Rheum pump which really improved the flow of the tank. Also a Intank media box in chamber 1 with filter floss, Chempure , and some ceramic stuff in bottom chamber. The tank cleared up and looks great. Plugging the 2nd chamber hole really improved flow and filtration. I have been testing the water and it seems fine. It will be my QT tank. So I left it bare bottom with a piece of 3" elbow to provide cover when adding life stock. This forum has been very helpful. More to come.
