So I am sure that you all are very used to seeing the newbie thread. I am new to the saltwater hobby....well kinda.. I have started my saltwater tank about 2 years ago but due to unfortunate weather patterns and unlucky housing location( kept getting hit by lightning. We have recently installed lightning rods and this seems to have stipend the electrical issues) my tank seems to be stuck at the cyno stage of cycling..I have a 120 gallon tank, with about 75lbs of live rock and about 40 lbs of live sand. I am currently using a 45 inch t5 lighting system with 2 white bulbs and 2 actinics. a 15 (ish) gallon sump with bio balls , a filter type thing on the top before the balls. I have no idea what I am doing wrong since my water seems to be testing good. I do have a RO System set up. But I am stuck at this phase and seem to not be able to get rid of the red slime stuff... If there is anyone who can help I would be forever grateful.

The Cyanobacteria will go away if you can figure out what is feeding it. What do you feed and what additives do you add if any?

Welcome Paso ! From your description,You nailed the red cyano.
If You can show us a pic of your tank & filter(sounds like a wetdry type), maybe some latest test numbers we can help Ya more.
