Been saving up little by little gathering up the supplies I need to build my 40 breeder reef tank. Getting super excited almost have everything to get started. As of now I have.
40g breeder with holes drilled for the Overflow and return
20g sump
Reef Octopus nwb 110
Jebao DC 1200 return pump with controller
Digital thermometer
Marino and maxi jet 900(will upgread)
1200 GPH overflow box
Aquasky LED global 3000-25000k 27watts
Heater
Hydrometer
20 dry rock(Will order more end of the month)
2 bags of live sand
Red sea reef foundation pro and marine care test kits.

And got my ro/di yesterday

Nice job building the sump. Everything looks good. Good luck and ask any question along the way.

Thanks, Just bought the the pvc yesterday. But things will be on hold for a few weeks I think, because we removed all the carpet in the living room and putting all tile down. Fun fun :/

Busy busy month, my 12 year olds show season is just starting so most weekends is lessons or horse shows.

Anyways got the stand stain and started some of the plumbing.

Just running things to see how everything is working. Anyone see anything I need to fix? Going to get another powerhead, the marineland is not on in the video but it's super loud and big.

Your plumbing is wrong for the drains, switch the gate valve to the pipe thats getting the full siphon, then dial it to where the water level flows just a little over the other pipe, that way the water height in the box will be close to the overflow teeth and prevent it from having alot of splash noise in the overflow box. :D

You want it to look like this

Ok thanks got the drain switched around so now the main drain has the gate

I hear the water going down the drain and it's little loud, is that normal?

Welcome to R2R! Nice startup!
