Hey all! Brand new to R2R, as well as the hobby in general.

Last few weeks I have been doing as much research as possible, but still have some questions, currently in the middle of setting up my Biocube 29g tank. I will be going to the local store this weekend to pick up live sand, and dry rock. They offered to let me use 30g of SW from their own aquariums, should I do this or will I be better off just using RO water to cycle my tank?

Plan on letting the tank cycle for a few weeks, I have no intentions of rushing this process. Thinking about doing FO for awhile until I get the hang of doing weekly water changes and basic maintenance.
Here are the fish I am thinking about adding to the tank over the course of a few months but not quite sure what order, or time I should be adding these.

Ocellaris Clownfish x2
Goby x1 (Possibly pair with a pistol shrimp)
Cleaner Shrimp x1
Emerald Crab x1
A couple snails and hermits

Is this too much for a 29g or am I being too conservative? Would love to find another fish to add.

And in the future would love to add hammer, torch coral, and an ocellaris anemone.

Looking for any tips, advice or concerns. Thanks!

Your stocking list looks good.
If it were me, I would use ro/di water to cycle my tank. Not to say anything bad about your LFS but if there's anything in the water you'd hate to bring some of their problems home with you. But that's just my opinion.
Again, welcome!!

Since I like doing a decent water change after my cycling, it wouldn't matter to me. However, to get into the habit i would do the RODI and mix your own
