Hello, I am super new to the hobby and excited to be here. I do have a question about background for the saltwater aquarium. I've seen people painting them black. Is this a good color to paint or would you recommend blue ? Thanks for the help and I look forward to all the information this site provides.

color is personal preference. black does help make your aquascape and corals pop out more due to the black/negative background. blue, (IMHO), seems more like something that was just introduced in mass for wholesalers and stores like petco/petsmart/etc
