HI All,
Just joined up!
Trying to put together a reef/fish tank. Been studying the net for about a month now. Got almost everything now. Probably wont be much help to you all, except I do find really good deals on stuff!
Just mainly looking for advise and ideas.
Thanks for having me!!!

Welcome to R2R! Yeah, any thoughts on what you want? Tank size, fish wish list? Peeps here will point you in the right direction.

All ready got 135g
w/30g sump/refuge.
Used tank. Did vinegar and bleach wash. Filled, salted, crushed coraled, live sanded in refuge, and running for 24hrs now.

wooo hoooo!! you are already well on your way! congrats! now, patience, patience, patience :) you picked a really nice size tank to start with. Many options are open to you in terms of livestock and such and as you've read many times I'm sure, the bigger the tank - more forgiving in terms of keeping things in check.

My patience is getting thin. But I'll hang in there. Gone too far to mess it up know.

I know it's hard but it is truly the most important thing you can do at this stage of the game. Have any pictures?

Also, what type of tank are you wanting to have? fish only, reef, sps/lps/softies? this is truly the best time to start generating a wish list for what you'd like to keep and then researching compatability and order of additions, etc. Many on here can lend advice on that information as well.

Welcome! You will hear it often "Patience" and it is a good reminder, because it is sooo hard. It seems like you have a great start going. Start a tank thread and post some pics! Keep us posted on your build progress :)

Welcome:wave:

Welcome to R2R! There are a lot of knowledgeable reefers here to help you out. One thing I have learned is that taking your time and doing things correctly go a very long way in this hobby. Seems like you are doing the right thing by researching before you start. Best of luck with the build and try to take a look around the forum for tank you like and take a few things from each to implement in your build. Best of luck and be sure to post pictures of your progress.

On my way to get rocks!! 150#'s should be enough? Getting another 20# live sand too. I'll get some pic's up soon(if I can figure out how).

There's a couple different ways. I've found using imgur to the be best. Upload the image to Imgur, and then they'll have a embedded link option you copy and paste into the text.

I'm new to forums. Should I keep posting on this thread or start a new one? Want to get some pix up so you guy's can have a laugh or two!
