I want to setup my first saltwater tank.It will be Fowlr tank.Are lighting necessary for this tank? I have already bought protein skimmer and chiller (i live in tropical country with temperature range 28~30celcius.It will be 30 gallon tank.Do i need any other equipment?

What are you using for filtration?
The 2 most important IMO is ATO and RODI Unit.

Hi ann.
Do i need a filter if im going to use protein skimmer?
Sorry if this is a dumb question.Im a bit confuse if i should get a filter

In saltwater ur main filter is your live rock which is ur biological filter the skimmer is your mechanical filter will also help big time as well. I have a 40 gallon tank with just live rock no skimmer and water changes weekly and that's a enough for my tank water changes are really important that helps to get rid of the nutrients in the water

How about lighting? Are lighting "is a must" for fowlr tank?will it affect fish health?

In my opinion I would get a decent light just in case later on down the road you want to put a couple corals in you can and not have to buy another light to support then.but a couple t5 light would be good

Any kind of lighting will do right? I have aquazonic t5 with color temperature12000k

You could add a GFO reactor if phosphates are an issue but it might not be necessary. IMO you don't need lights yet. I'm setting up a 40g breeder fowlr without lights for now. It will be a coral tank in the future and I want to save up for good lights. I wouldn't waste money on lights now that won't be good enough for coral later. Good luck!

Totally agree on the light save up and get a decent light because I'm sure you will want to add a coral or two later on down the road and if you buy a cheap light now You will have to upgrade that light so you would be spending more money in the long run with two lights over one decent light

So light arent necessary.Is it safe to use tap water treated with dechlorinator for saltwater?
