Hi Everyone!

Started this tank Thursday. Started with three clown fish Friday. Added my live rock Saturday. Got about 4-6 weeks for the cycling phase but planning on doing coral a few months down the road after I get the tank properly set up. Thought I’d throw some pics up and hope to hear some comments and feedback! Will keep you updated.

One bit of advice upfront is I noticed you added clownfish to you new tanknstraight away. If your tank is brand new, it has not cycled yet. So your clowns may get pretty stressed.

The new live rock may help but I would add some good bacterial additives and monitor your parameter closely...

Welcome to R2R!! As said above, if possible I'd return the clownfish to the local fish store and not get anything until the tank is cycled. Also with clowns you only want to do 2, they'll eventually kill the third one. Also I would strongly suggest getting some sort of quarantine system so that no disease or parasites get introduced to your tank. Take things slow, the only thing to come out of this hobby by rushing things is dead livestock. Give these threads a good readover

I also agree that you may have jumped the gun, it’s a common mistake but your fish aren’t likely to make it. At a minimum, dr tims bacteria in a bottle and or Biospira bacteria in a bottle will significantly boost the nitrogen cycle but won’t complete it, I would still rehome the clownfish.
