Hello all,
We are from Central Wisconsin, about as far from an ocean as you can get!
Newish to saltwater and reef tanks, we've been dabbling for about 6-months. We have a couple of tanks setup, one 29 gallon tall tank and one 29 gallon bio-cube.
29-Gallon Tall:
Canister filter (oversized - for 40-75 gallon tank)
Viparspectra Reef light (working well, only on/off, no sunset, sunrise, etc..)
Various frags (SPS, Softies and LPS) - all doing well
Pair of Caramel Clowns that are hosting in a Haitian Aneneome (even though they aren't supposed to)
Fairy Wrasse
Firefish
2 yellow damsels
Brittle Star
CUC including 2-peppermint shrimp
29-Gallon bioCube (AIO)
Stock Non-LED lighting
BTA 3"
Bonded (not yet mating) pair of adult Ocellaris (3.5" and 2.5")
Valentini Puffer
6-line Wrasse
Yellowhead sleeper Goby (sandsifting)
CUC (larger specimens that the puffer will leave alone)
All fish are doing well and parameters are stable in both tanks. Water Changes about every 7-14 days depending on tests. Usually a 10-15% change.
Adding carbonate and additives (Magnesium, Iodine, etc...) to Reef tank as well.
We also have a fish room build in progress with various 10-30 gallon tanks for QT, and hopefully eventually breeding. Most tanks (except QT) will tie into a common sump.
We are learning a lot and have had a few mistakes along the way, but excited to grow into a larger DT (120 Gallon) by later this year. Not the cheapest hobby, but very cathartic!
Chris
