So I’ve definitely got diatoms, and now I’ve got this green hairy stuff showing up. I’m running a HOB skimmer, HOB mechanical filter, and two Hydor Koralia Powerheads on a wave controller.

CUC consists of two Astraea, two Trochus, and one Turbo. I’ll probably add a couple more next week, but that’s all my LFS had on hand at the moment.

Levels are:

Temp: 77*F
SG: 1.025
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5ppm (lowering with WC)
pH: 8.36
kH: 8.3
Magnesium: 1320
Calcium: 420
Silicates: 0
Phosphate: 0
Copper: 0

Normal algae. That’s the next step in your tank.
