Getting brown stuff on live rock and sand as soon as I began my lighting schedule. I have one fish and a couple hermis and snails in there. NO coral yet. Any advice? Can't remember what to do?
Super normal for new tanks to have brown algae, don't worry about it. Monitor your nitrates, do water changes as needed to reduce. Look into adding an algae turf scrubber and/or refugium to consume nitrates so you can worry less about water changes.
