What the heck is going on with this newly made water with instant ocean????

Also very hot since been mixing with a mag 7 in my garbage in Florida. Would the extreme heat cause the extreme browning?

I’d let it settle and see how it looks. Heat induces precipitation of calcium carbonate, and RC often has a brown grunge residue anyway (maybe related to the vitamins added).

Thanks. It’s all power/sludgy brownish substance. It is an older bucket and I shook it all up before using. Is it safe to use the water?

If it is clear once you let it settle, and alk is ok, I’d use it.

Definitely not normal. I just made 4g of sw with instant ocean rc. My bucket is approx 5 - 6 years old. About halfway full.

It’s the only salt brand I use and it’s always been clear.

Here’s a pic I just took - 4g I made last night at room temp, mixed to 1.026

I wouldn’t use that. Are you sure your pump doesn’t have an exposed magnet or any corrosion ?
