Newly re-set up 10 gallon tank

Hi everyone,

About a month ago I had a complete system failure in my tank and lost everything in it from fish, invertebrates, to newly acquired corals. This was the saddest day ever just feeling helpless that I could do nothing but watch all of my inhabitants die. I pulled them all from the tank, but, it was too late. My pistol shrimp and goby were my very favorite inhabitants and they were the last to go, they held out far longer than they should have, R.I.P. Dozer and Goby you were my favorites! In light of this sad occasion I did not want to re set up the tank, my fiancé, however, talked me into making a go of it again, so through much heartache here is the new set up. No more corals for me anymore, just pretty plants. Check it out and tell me your thoughts!

So sorry to hear about your tank crash Glad that you're giving it another go though

Totally cool idea, love the look of it although I hope you got plans for inverts (snails, shrimp or crabs)! I don't think I could ever have any tank (except maybe a jellyfish or cuttlefish tank) without inverts. They're so much fun to watch

Also you may want to try and find some mini-feather dusters (I've found that some stores are nice enough to just give them to me when I ask), they're basically impossible to kill so don't worry about taking care of them and they're really fun to watch because they can move really fast when they want to. You may even want to add aptasia (I know it's a dirty word but hey if there's no coral for it to sting it's a freaking cool looking anemone). Most stores will gladly give you aptasia for free if they can easily remove it. If you can try to find majano aptasia, it's really cool looking. Sorry if my ideas seem totally crazy I have a jar filled with this stuff that I love.... Good luck on the tank. I look forward to seeing what you do with it

Thanks for your thoughts on my tank, I will be having some crabs and shrimp in there. I am going to have a Halloween Hermit Crab and possibly some sexy shrimp, not sure yet though. There will be some kind of inverts though. More Feather dusters are on my list as I already have quite a few of them on my live rock in the tank now. I already have a cuc with hermits and snails, they are just very small. I have never done a planted marine tank so we'll see how it goes, hopefully it will go well like my planted freshwater tank did. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks.
