isnt that just what happens when you stress out a white stripe maroon? they can change their stripe color based on mood.

Nothing really new per say. We had a lightning maroon for sale with the "blue" coloring, and by the time we sold it, it showed more than when we got it. But it will go away as the white goes away...all the "blue" is, is dark pigment under the white scales. Since the white only goes away as the fish age, so too, the blue.

At MACNA this year, Pro Aquatic was showing off a "snowflake" maroon, which essentially was a lightening with some blue hue in it. I'm assuming these are from them ?
