Hi fellow reefers!!

I set my new tank up 24 hours ago. Caribsea Fiji Pink sand, Caribsea Life rock, LFS Saltwater(1.026 salinity)... it’s still slightest cloudy, white film on the glass, and what appears to be dust particles in the water. Any idea what’s going on or how to fix it?

I’m running the return pump currently.

That is to be expected. Are you running filter socks?

Just filter floss at the moment. I have an intank media basket and refugium but was told to not add filtration contents until after the cycling process has completed.

You don't need filtration for nutrients. You just need to filter the fines out of the water. It may seem counter productive but I would get in there and stir up the sand every day and run socks to get as much out as possible. Once the sand get a bio film it doesn't stir up as easy but fish or when you vacuum thee tank later they are going to get stirred up. It is better to get them out now in my opinion.
