I think I know the answer to this already but I'd just like a second opinion. I have just added a new mushroom to my tank and it is producing slime. I'm assuming this is due to stress but was wondering if anything else could cause it/do I need to be worried about the slime as I know some can be bad for other inhabitants. It's only been on an hour. The tank gets its weekly water change tomorrow so ifi I need to to a larger one for the slime I can easily do that

You're correct in that it may just be acclimating to your tanks water. Did you drop acclimate? If no, then I would suspect this to be the reason if yes then there may be something else wrong with your tanks parameters...

Thought so. It seems to have stopped now. I did drip a climate but not for as long as usual as I had to go out so it probably wasn't 100% matched.
Thanks for the response
