We who are required to experience things vicariously through others sure would like to know how the frag swap went today. Those who have a real life, please post pics and comments for the rest of us.

Excellent swap, great folks, great prices. No pictures :(

And I got that from an hour visit.... imagine if I didn't get lost every time I drive out of the neighborhood.

Nah, bad part was I had two gps units in the car, just the older kind you have to program.

I'm not getting directions... nope, no sir. Adventure is what I crave. :)

I thought it was easy to find.No GPS, just used a map quest print out.We really enjoyed the swap.Met alot of new folks and got to see some we have'nt for a while. I thought they done a wonderful job with this swap. Can't wait untill the next one comes along close to us.

Didn't print anything out... Got to the exit and hit my phone with a request for a map. It didn't speak Tennessean. If it hadn't been for Paul's phone we'd still be lost. :)

Very good swap. Lots of people buying and selling. I came home with twice what I expected. Good to see people we haven't seen for a while and meet a few new ones too. All in all it was a good day (long day but a good one). I got up at 3:30 and started packing!

I think the next one is in Memphis next month sometime.

I'll let you know when I find out.

Thanxs Jack.It was good to see you agin.To bad we did'nt have much time to talk.Maybe at the next swap. Are you all planning on going?

I just used the gps that came with the truck. worked fine.

I also enjoyed the frag swap and only wish I could have arrived earlier.

For those who had already left, I rolled up about 15 mintues before 1600 (4pm for cilivians). I was able to trade some calcium chloride and magnesium chloride for some frags. So did enjoy the meet.

The frag swap was great and I got a number of gorgeous frags.

Unfortunately, the powerhead in my QT/observation tank failed overnight and I lost all my frags except for one small rainbow yuma frag. I cannot believe the string of bad luck I am having lately.

Yikes! The Coral Gods do seem to be a bit put out with you for some strange, unfathomable reason lately. Seriously, very sorry to hear that.

Wow Tomoko, that's extremely unfortunate! Sorry to hear that. How many frags did you lose?

I got 8 frags and lost 7.

This is quite unusual since I have never lost any frags that I got from other hobbyists in frag swaps except for one frag that I got in one of the Nashville swaps, which arrived in a stressed condition due to the cold weather.

I guess I need to take an inventory of my powerheads. When I transferred rocks from 120 to 180, another powerhead failed in a large tub of extra rocks that came out from 120 and caused ammonia to spike in the tub. I was not going to use them in my 180, but I did not plan on holding them in my living room for another two weeks to let them recover from the mini cycling. Then, the pump on my ASMG2 failed and shocked me while I was rearranging rocks in 180. I suppose that I will be replacing a few powerheads soon....

There's always something that requires attention in this hobby. My TDS meter is reading 20 ppm on the outlet of my DI cartridge. The color change resin has not changed its appearance much and I have been wondering about this. I had barely enough DI resin to fill up the cartridge during the last change and the resin settled. There is about 1/2 inch of open space at the top. I am afraid that water is channelling through the resin. Should I put some more resin to top up the cartridge or should I replace the whole batch of resin? Any suggestion?

Sorry, JimW, I didn't mean to hijack your thread.

Tomoko
