My tank is 32x24x20, 66g with minimal rock work (about 35 lbs).

Current occupants:

2 x Ocellaris
Azure Damsel
Six Line Wrasse
Lawnmower Blenny
Flame Hawkfish
Half dozen or so each Nassarius/Trochus/Hermits

I would like to add another fish (or two or three) that swim out in the open. I'd really like a Bristletooth tang but I don't know if my tank is long enough. Likewise, I'd like to do some open water swimmers like anthias, but same problem. Dwarf angels could work but tank is SPS dominant with some LPS and not sure I want to go there. The six line is somewhat aggressive to new additions with the same torpedo shape, but if the fish is shaped differently and/or larger, it's no problem.

Any ideas?

I would. try to find an aggressive fish because all the fish you have now are pretty aggressive
Im afraid if you put a timid fish in there, it would get beat to death.
Also, do you have a sand bed?

Lyretails can get (to my eye) a bit large to house a group in a 66 gallon - but perhaps a trio of Randall's anthias?

Midas blenny would be a pretty good choice as well. Unlike your lawnmower, they tend to hang out in the water column and snatch plankton.

I'd suggest a flasher wrasse or smaller fairy wrasse, but would worry about the six-line's reaction.

Fang blenny. Always out and about throughout the water column. Reef safe (except perhaps to small ornamental shrimp). Bold (e.g. curious) but not aggressive (except toward other fang blennies). And most other fish know enough to leave 'em alone or risk getting a very uncomfortable venomous bite.

I have sand but it's not thick, half to one inch only.

I will look into smaller anthias, problem being in Canada it's hard to find them sometimes. My LFS does get different types in though or maybe I could order some. Fang Blenny sounds like a good idea too.

I had similar problem in my 75g last year. I added a single male lyretail anthias and it did the trick. Always out and swimming. One of my favorite fish for sure.
