While I'm not in a hurry to add anything I just wanted to get some ideas for me to start researching suggestions from the community. I'll throw my info at you and if you have a suggestion for the next fish I should look at I'd appreciate it. Also, how many fish would you go max here? I like to lean light on bio-load just want some opinions.

40g breeder
20g sump w refugium

1 Coral Beauty
1 Yellow Watchmen Goby
1 Flame Hawkfish
1 Royal Gramma
1 Tail Spot Blenny
1 Skunk Cleaner
1 Trochus
4 Cerith
2 Nassarius
2 Turbos (big)
1 Blue leg hermit - in the sump

GSP, Candy Cane, BTA Nem, Zoas, Xenia

Thanks everyone!

A small wrasse is what I'd look for if it was me, (pink streaked, sixline, possum) but I think you may be fully stocked especially with a hawk. You could try a fun invert like a serpent star.
Also I'd add a few more snails. Double or more on the Cerith and nassarius snails.

I have a 45gal tank with the following CUC...

45 Dwarf Cerith
15 Bumble Bee Snails
13 Florida Cerith
10 Nerite
8 Nassarius
7 Trochus
5 Money Cowrie

And algae is still kicking my butt right now, although mainly dinos.

Interesting you say that with the hawkfish. I would have thought the coral beauty would be the hitch. Thanks for the reply. Tbh I was thinking the same with the wrasse (possum). A small Wrasse, 2 banggai cardinals (m/f) and a pistol shrimp for my goby were where I was gonna max out. Maybe too much tho... I am very diligent with wc...

Wow that's quite a crew. I have one dwarf cerith too! Lol I'm always amazed when I see it still alive. Idk I got a few BIG turbos from a buddy and they helped turn the Dino tide for me. Out of the woods for a bit now at least.

Can you shade any areas of the tank where there's dinos but no corals growing? Like with a piece of cardboard. Even a little less light will slow em down...a little bit

Depends on the fish I suppose. Never had a problem with an angel and my longnose hawk was perfect too. My Falco though has become aggressive and is preventing me from adding anything. Unfortunately is also being too wily to catch.
Also I don't think its bio load that maxes out fish, its aggression. At least that's what I've found.

Yeah just like us I guess. And as we get older and more cranky so can they.. so far so good though. I hear ya on the aggression. You're right. That's probably a better gauge as to where to stop things. I'm going for a peaceful community tank..
