Next purchase. A DSA 60 inch 190gallon

Ok so I am thinking about going big. I don not like the 72" footprint. I was thinking about going with the DSA 60.5 inch 190gallon tank. Everywhere I look doesn't tell me the glass thickness. Does anyone have this tank? Pros? cons? sapphire?
Also what about the stand that they offer? I have heard some mixed reviews on those. Mainly the difficulty in use since there is no side door? I am not good with a hammer so making one myself isn't an option.
Any help and advice would be great.

Have them build you a steel stand. This company is owned by the former owner of AGE. He knows his stuff so the tanks are built well.

The glass should be 1/2" (same as my DSA 135g)
The wood stand is really nice with lots of room; but it's up to you.

Did you get the PVC bottom? I hear that saves a lot if weight

No (didn't think they did PVC bottoms) oh well... My tank is a DSA 135g Pro with Starphire (low iron) glass on the front panel. Standard 2x 3/4" returns and 2x 1" drains... evolved here on R2R has a DSA 190g

My previous tank was the DSA 175g and it had the pvc bottom.

I have a 190 sitting on my floor right now. I am still collecting equipment. Its 1/2" glass and built really well. I still havent decided on the stand yet. I thought about ordering the DSA stand but I will probably get one custom made with side doors and an electric panel.

Besides weight. Is there an advantage to PVC bottoms?

Not really; pretty happy with it as it is. If anything, I would have taken the time to put a liner into the stand when it was empty, but that's not a big deal for me. I have no complaints about the stand itself.

I wouldn't bother with a PVC bottom; you're only talking about 35lbs of weight difference. 4 of us handled the tank rather easily; 2 big guys could have done it with a bit of a struggle even.
