Ok so i have had about 100lbs. of Marco Rock Curing in a tub. I originally did this to release any phosphates bound up in the rock before putting it in my tank. This is a new tank build. Taking all precautions. Now my Rock is sitting in RODI Saltwater with a heater and a powerhead. My first reading was 0.123 for phosphates. After adding PhosFree and testing 24 hrs later the reading was 0.077. Repeating this process again the reading was 0.049. So they are going down. Now to my question. Once the phosphates are at reasonable levels, should i add to the tank and start my cycle? OR Should i start the cycle of my rocks inside the Brute Container since i'm taking my time getting this all going?

Is there any benefit to doing it one way or the other?

You need to cycle your tank with rocks and sand in it, that's the best way. You can do the seperate way but it's better the other way

Ok once all these phosphates are out of my rock i will start the cycle process intank....
