Hey, So I am nearing the end of my test kits for Calcium and Magnesium.
just ran out of Mag halfway through the test today.
So I am in the market for some new kits. I have used red sea for about a year and a half or so off and on when I feel like testing. however I have been going through a lot lately getting My dosing pump dialed in for my 25 lagoon with a few SPS and others. I am trying to get better about testing more often.

I don't really love or hate my red sea kits. I think I chose them because they came as a set of alk cal and mag in a hard plastic box and I used their salt anyway.
But I am wondering if there is another kind of kit I should try. I use salifert for my nitrate kit, it seems alright and more straight forward than red seas offering.
I went looking for a few on BRS a little bit ago and found mainly Aqua forest and salifert kits.
along with refills of my red sea, on a pretty decent sale I might add.

anyway just looking to see kinda what the consensus was. I watched a few youtube demos of AF and salifert kits. AF mag looks much simpler than the red sea one. but the color change looks weak and undefined.
Im looking to purchase my replacement in the next day or so.

thoughts?

I use Salifert Ca & Mg with a mini magnetic stirrer, they work fine. I've seen some say the Aquaforest kits are a bit better (and they also come with a reference solution), but I haven't felt a need to change. The magnetic stirrer makes the titration tests super easy.
