If you are treating solely with ABX I'd recommend NFG, if you need antibiotics during copper I'd use the trifecta or spectrogram.

Is that because NFG is incompatible with copper or other reason?

It contains antibiotics + methalyne blue. So it's best not to be combined with copper, because of the methalyne blue.

I have it on hand. I think I got it from national fish pharmaceuticals

NFG also seems to work faster than the trifecta IMO. ;) Especially on those red sores that pop up on butterflies.

Oh yes ! NFG is a savior . Humblefish introduced it to me and now that’s one of my go to in qt . It brought back my copperband !

I just bought a jar of this from East Coast Ranchu online and (never have used it previously.) You are right - not inexpensive!

Having never used this before - does it really give the water a slight green cast? Interesting that they call it Nitrofuracin Green - but it has Meth Blue ( that used to cause a deep blue cast in the water years ago?)

I treat all butterflies with ttm and nfg now. I haven't lost one since adopting this method. My regal is currently in nfg. If something stops eating it gets a fw dip and then a new tank and nfg.
