Nice and cheap aquascaping designs

Hey guys, I'm currently a college student and on a budget, but I wanted to make my 120 gallon tank that was given to me awesome as possible!

I've been looking into aquascaping, however I want my tank to be a reef salt water tank.

I've looked around my local area for aquascaping designs, but they're too pricey for me. Does anyone know good and safe online sites that sell reasonably priced aquascaping designs?

I find that your design is generally more of a “rough” design and the final will be more dependent on the shape of the rock you get.

Just buy some dry rock and do your own aquascape. I assume you’ve been looking at pre-made structures? The cheapest is to just stack rock, you can get a bit more fancy with some of the epoxies and mortar that’s out there, even more so if you incorporate a drill and some acrylic rods. There is lots on YouTube that show you how to do the fancy stuff. I’ve always been a pile maker though, don’t have the patience for working with the rock that long.

Once the corals grow in all detail is lost. As mentioned the basic shape is what you will "see." So go for it.
