Any suggestions? How much do I freak out? I'm pretty green to all this, what made me notice was I finally poured water not above or below, but exactly with the Trim and adjacent corner was down an 1/8-1/4

I would definitely find a new stand asap. Worse case senario grab some 2x4's from the hardware store and make one.

I agree with Greybeard, better find another stand that one is on it's way out. Another question i'd be asking is where did the water come from to do the damage, slow leak? leaking pipe? bad filter connection? ect...

@DaveM828
Looks like someone has tried to fix the stand before and now the tank is not level.
Need to check for leaks and if your Oceanic is not the issue, get a new stand as stated above.

Think I should I squeeze a 2x4 in that corner and glue it while I working on/find a new stand?

And the stand and tank were used. And i saw damage there previously but wasn't compressed as it is now. I noticed some salt creep In that same corner on the glass but not much. Keeping an eye on it And have yet to ever find water. Really can't figure out where it could have came from. The top corner of the stand directly under the tank has no water damage but the bottom of the stand does.....

I'd put in the 2x4 but make sure you don't force it into place and push the tank up. I'd just use it to brace while you work on the replacement.

As you work on getting the new one in place I would look carefully for where the water may be coming from as I do think there is something going on. Also check as you do a water change and just after it. I noticed I had a problem when adding too much water to the thank with slight overflow in a corner which showed up as salt creep.

And should I try to level it with a wooden wedge or is that more risky to damage the board? I'm just worried of the torque on the tank

I brought home a big level and a good square. Ends up the ****** redone floor in the house is actually sinking in. I noticed the water level is actually doing the opposite of what the tank stand is showing me......which means the tank is levelling out by compressing the particle board where then floor is uneven...So really since the tank is still not level the floor is sunk in past the point the particle board is able to level out.....So the tank is still leaning

So now, do I shim that opposite corner and level the tank?

You can probably do that, but eventually get ready to replace the stand =( MDF... looks nice at first, but once wet it goes downhill.
