So first off the anemones are by far the coolest part about reefing. Neon green condy anenome is truly breathtaking. It has however placed itself in the back corner of my tank. Well, it was attached to a rock and I moved that rock to the back of my tank. Aquascaping troubles but that's a different story.

Long story short the aquascape is about 50% mortared together and I don't remember which ones are/aren't connected. It looks BEAUTIFUL but I am not going to touch or move any of the rocks ever again (lol ya right?)

Is there a way to coax or hint to the anemone I would like to see it's presence more, and get it to attach to a rock that is closer to the front of the tank? I understand it is an animal and it's will will be done and I am not one to interfere, but if it is possible with no harm to the anemone then I am all ears.

I also fed the anemone and a florida ricordea last night with a turkey baster and mysis shrimp. It was freakin crazy man, you dont realize how alive corals are until you give them meaty food and then they start moving around like crazy.

Thanks in advance fellow saltines for you help

Occam's Razor: Move the rock to where you want to see it.. Mostly likely a temporary solution as the anemone is going to move where it is comfortable..but I did this little trick on my BTA for 6 months before he figured out I was tricking him and decided to go to a rock i couldnt move.

you can adjust flow to see if it’ll move but other than that not too much to do , the vain of anemones is that they go where they please lol , I’d love for my purple LTA to be front and center but it decided the dark corner is where it’s happy

It’s a rainbow BTA and thank you! I love the jebao so far works perfectly, not sure where you at but local reefers usually have RBTA for 40-60$

I am in Indiana. If that thing ever splits and you have some to sell, I will be first customer :) LFS had one BTA was reddish color, quarter size asking $250 for it. I walked out with my $30 condy, happy as could be. But man that thing is cool looking.

They have split a lot , they are pretty prolific once adjusted , all the rbta came from 2 of them and look around I’m sure there are a lot of locals nearby that have too many nems check OfferUp. I’m not at the shipping stage yet lol

We are in Lafayette and I currently have 6 in my tank, all from a single rbta I purchased from a fellow hoosier about a year ago. Had to cut back on feeding them before they take over!

So beautiful mine was shredded the first night I had it. My dry rock is sucking up so much nutrients my ph won’t go above 8. Tank is super not ready for anemone anyway :( hopefully one day I can keep one alive

Meh, my ph never sees 8, 7.9 is the highest I’ve seen it in a long time. When it’s nice and cooler out we open windows and my ph goes up over 8 but other wise even with a hose ran out the window and then through a co2 scrubber I still can’t hit 8. My issue currently is keeping nitrates above zero on my hanna hr checker.

Where in Indiana are you?

@F i s h y is in Columbus and I believe was just looking into thinning out some bta's. Edit . Looks like he's already responded here.

Oh my first BTA was from Fishy, he is a good dude, BEAUTIFUL tanks, like ones you only ever get to see in pictures, I got to see them in real life. #2 will be coming from him as well, they were everywhere in his tank, but I have to get this pH thing figured out, a lid, and some covers on my jebao gyre. the feeling of waking up to an unhappy roaming then shredded anemone not ready for my tank was a feeling I don't want to have again :( still have a picture of the nem, look at it when I need a smile. lol.
