The night time glow when you are trying to make adjustments to the water level in the over flow lol.....tbh i have no idea why i was doing it in the dark just was peaceful lol....no kids they are in bed wife is in bed just me and my tank. Couldnt get more relaxing then that....

Trying to figure out if your sump is made of translucent acrylic or you have blurred the equipment, in the pics, to protect the innocent. Seriously, though, I do like the cleanness and simplicity employed. I am curious, do you not run an ATO?

It is a satin glass exterior with a glossy interior gives it a nice clean look and ato is a manual top off for now building a custom box but hard to cure silicone in the temps we are seeing right now ....

Some updates everything is looking good and thungs have been pretty stable have a wc today and maybe testing but probably not warming up water and mixing now......extension on polyps has been awesome and everything has been in line Gotti (kole tang) has been an a** and might need a timeout for a day...chasing Virginia (firefish) and Pablo (watchman)....but other then that he is starting to get used to the tank in a good way....little to no algae in the tank from him and the cuc makes my job super easy...

Did a 5gal wayer change today and had to raise alk. That seems to be the most consumption right now everything is looking fantastic a few gonis were being finicky so hoping raising the alk will help got another green slimer for a buddy that was coming in today and he told me to keep it as he just lost 3 acros....so i guess this guy is now mine dkh at 7.2 raising in 1 dkh today and then retest in a few to see where we are sitting also will test tomorrow to see if there is any drops.... all in all a very productive morning....now time to relax....

First frags ever cut for me and now that i have done it im not so worried about some others....will make sure to be careful while doing zoas or anything like that but wasnt as bad as i thought it might be went smooth and now the colony has 6 heads less.... but should recover in no time

Frag update these guys are looking awesome so far one is very dicolored but that should be a somewhat quick fix hence the frag was getting like no light and was one that was placed in the sand from previous owner....

That was light at 10% excited to see the 65% and watch em fluff out....already twice the size they were now at 20%

It will probably take a bit for the heads that were shaded out or in the sand to fully recover and settle in. Just keep up on your water, giving them a good environment and you're good!

Using some carbon in a bag in the filter sockwas having so water clarity issues and was very surprised when i got up this morning and it was crisp and crystal clear amazing difference so far the hammer frags are loving life and everything is doing good the only thing i need to happeb is more space on my frogspawn and hammer rack lol well better find some more locations lol

An easy check to see if your water is actually clear is during a water change, drain 5g into a white bucket and sit it next to fresh salt water in the same bucket.

Yea i did that with a white foam cup yesterday and wow....crazy since it doesnt look like that when viewing that blue really hides a lot ....mainly had a haze in the water wasnt a bacterial bloom but was just hazy so had to check.

Good night everyone hope tomorrow brings fortune right before lights out heading to bed hardly ever beat the lights turning off but looking at it from the stairs makes everything feel like a huge accomplishment.....
