Honestly, the rounded edge looks about PERFECT to be. It is slightly overlapping how the tape and all.

Awesome yea. I did a few cuts and rounding with some sand paper then cleaned up the plastic. I am thinking it will work for sure ill post when everything is done. Have to wait for the kids to go to bed. Learned that the hard way found silicone finger prints all over. Felt like an fbi agent though matched em to my daughter who is almost two and had to sentence her to the couch lol.

The triangle would make for a thicker seal in the actual corner of the glass either one would work i kinda think im gonna go with the triangle see how it looks and maybe keep it or change it for the big job.

From what I understand, very little of the actual holding strength comes from out there so it's really just leave as much as looks good to your eye.

Well second round was a huge success and the triangle was the way to go it looks super clean like a night and day difference from the first round and now. I am super proud of this and the way this round came out now i know what i will be doing for the big build. Let me know what yall think......super excited for this.....

Kinda sorta was more of a squish but not all the way i made the cuts 1/16 smaller so i would have the 1/16 gap when everything was flush then flushed everything. Once silicone was somewhat set i used tape to press the pieces into eachother to get a nice set without expelling the silicone from the seams.

Hardest part is waiting for a full cure. I am sure I am fine byt wanting to give it to the weekend for just in case measures i will probably be starting the process for the big build tomorrow siliconing the two base pieces and getting that prepped for side placement. Have been debating on using this set up for an actual dt with a eurobracing technique for the middle support brace and doing a redesign on the sump with a total height of 17in instead of 22 for the sump height. Still thinking but will continue the theme into the possible redesign with the grey tint with clear front viewer then it will be themed both sump and dt being identicle. Sounds amazing but then again like a lot of work but hey i got time.

Yes she is my saltwater monster for sure always with me when doing anything with the tank gonna be my lil marine biologist I already know it. Your build thread is awesome by the way the detail was amazing.

Two piece bottom has been siliconed together and waiting for cure added some weight on top to keep everything pressed step one of the big build complete then will go through and inject seal all the way around once cured. To get a really nice bottom seal. Slowly but surely when i get days off from work it will come together.
