First - please be kind before you say "what the heck" - my mom just died and I drunk shopped online for fish. I know I screwed up bad.

I have a 20 gallon long qt tank with 4 royal gramma and a flame angel. (I saw that post on multiple grammas and thought it was a great idea. Had always heard you could only keep 1 - how awesome right?) But I also drunk ordered tank dividers on Amazon just in case...

1 gramma came with a really bad mouth wound, the rest looked very banged up and were emaciated and would not eat.

It took me 5 days to get them eating. So I delayed starting copper for 5 days. Came downstairs on day 3 of copper and everybody was covered in disease.

Plus the smallest gramma got through the divider and got his dorsal fin ripped off.

I'm most worried about the flame angel - he is my favorite and I'm so worried he's going to get sick. I'm in the process of setting up another separate QT tank for him.

What should I medicate the flame angel with in the new tank? He shows no symptoms yet

Also any advice about what to do for these poor Royal grammas would be greatly appreciated. Obviously copper is not helping at all.

How close is this tank to the one with the clownfish in your other post? Could Brooklynella have been spread between both tanks?

What??? Brook can jump tanks like without a fish having it being introduced into the other tank???

They are 10' apart - I measured before setting them up. and I have separate EVERYTHING - separate utensils, separate food, buckets not shared, wash hands with hot water scrub brush & soap in between feeding, etc etc.

So thankful to hear from you. This is whole thing is my nightmare! I poured over all your posts - and have had such success before now.

Brook was my fear.

Also is it even possible to reliably eradicate Brook? I am wondering at this point if I would ever consider risking moving any of these fish into my DT. I'm so sad.

Brooklynella will die out if you let the tank go fallow, it also typically affects only certain species, mostly clownfish.

Hi ..

First and most important . Im
Sorry for your loss .
Explains the impulse/drunk order.
Moving forward I believe you’re doing everything you can ..

I was just reading a new post put together by a few members regarding quarantine meds for different fish with a chart specific for different species .

I’ll see if I can find the post and paste a link here .

Thank you so much, don’t know how I missed this chart. Much appreciated

Lesson of the day .
Don’t order online after drinking ?

I almost made the same mistake yesterday but wasn’t online .
Was a beautiful day .
I stopped for a beer at the pub on the way to the lfs .

Saw an emperor angelfish I wanted … but couldn’t justify paying $400 for it .
I went home with no fish .
And even stopped for another drink and grabbed food on the way home lol

Omg yes. Never again. And I don't care if I never see another royal gramma as long as I live

Having the worst time getting photos or video of the Gramma's - is this brook?

Everyone looks a lot better today. Eating well. Even mouth wound gramma.

when I first started I was a sucker for butterflyfish

They were always cheap , and doing wholesale was even more affordable .
Sadly every one that was shipped to me was half dead , wouldn’t eat
Good thing now they are rarely seen in lfs .

Every tank I’ve had as a display always had a yellow tang , foxface , lawnmower blenny , plus more but they were the must have fish

they hide as soon as I bring the camera

Can't get video to post - is this brook? This is the one that attacked the angel and got the educational beatdown. They don't fight anymore. Flame angel has no symptoms or damage at all.
