Nightmare

Woke up to every reefers nightmare this morning, wet floor and all power out! The nylon jubilee clip on my pump broke spraying water all over the electrics[emoji20]. I'm not to sure when this happens in the night so don't know if my live stock is ok. Nothing looks dead but the temp dropped a lot so fingers crossed everything is ok. I've just finished getting the electrics dried out on my life support so I have my heaters and return back up and running. Really ticked right now![emoji21]

Thanks. Just got the lights on without blowing myself up but I got a bit of a tingle from my orp controller so I thought I had better leave that off for a bit

Don't know if for sure I'd hear it at night but I have a cheap water alarm inside the dt stand so if water gets out of the sump it should make considerable noise right away. I doubt there are many long time hobbyists who haven't had to spend most of a day vacuuming up water in the carpet and trying to salvage what they can.

Yeah I'm going to look into a alarm. All the fish and coral look ok at the moment. Hard wood floor thank god

Cheap and saved my rear when a bulkhead sprung a leak. Obviously have to be home to hear it, but at least it's some defence.
