Nilsen reactor, looking for some opinions!

Hey reefers,

I recently picked up a My Reef Creations Nilsen Reactor and am very interested in using it on my system. I just wanted to see if anyone has long term experience with using one, pros / cons, thoughts, opinions all welcomed.

Before I purchased dosers, I used kalk in my ATO reservoir, which always helped me stabilize my PH and of course, I didn't need to dose 2 part. I ended up having an aqualifter stick on and yeah, PH shot up to over 10 before I caught it, it was a mess. This was before owning a controller with a PH cut off capability and of course, the Nilsen reactor should make it easier to mix, clean, etc.

I was actually considering using it through my doser with a gallon of fresh RODI and only dosing at night, to counter the PH drop I have due to being in Texas and windows shut all the time, for the A/C. Anyone doing this??

All my Topoff is Kalkwasser. And my topoff is 10g on a rainy day and 30-40g on a hot day. I have several different failsafes to prevent overdoses. My coral growth is crazy and the I have no issues. If you have a large system and heavy coral load then the combo of Kalk & Calc and Trace elements work really well.
