Noticed my trumpet corals were closed up since yesterday -then noticed it pulled off it’s drag plug and sitting on the sand bed- then I saw it my Lamark angel take a bite out of it. AH. I thought those fish don’t eat coral... currently put the trumpet coral in breeder box - is there anything I can do or is this the way of the fish .

They are reef safe with caution and being that it is classified as an angel and you know what angels are capable of when it comes to coral. In some cases they go after food that has fallen onto the coral. In this case, it sounds like its determined to take it down
