Hi Randy,

I have a 250Gal tank with 15 anthias and small sps frags. Sump is 60 gal attached to a 20gal refugium and a ATS.
Refugium and ATS run in reverse display tank schedule. Better color and growth is noticeable when I does nitrate. My question is it beneficial to dose in certain schedule or it doesn't really matter?

Maybe in the future if the phosphate drops too low, I will have to does phosphate. Is there a certain mixture(to improve nitrate and phosphate at a ratio) you recommend?

Thanks,
ZZ

Not sure what Randy would suggest, but as long as your refugium and ats are running, your tank will always consume N and P at different rates. Consider bacteria and corals also uptake N and P, then mix chaeto and algae scrubber up taking at different rates. Would it make sense to dose nutrients or maybe reduce if not eliminate the refugium or ats?

Most of the time I found I am nitrate limited. I fed my anthias every 30 mins with auto food doser. I may not need to dose P but what's a good Phosphate product to start with just in case?

Seachems phosphorus. Note: the dosing amounts is measured with a math equation written on the bottle.
